In today's fast-paced digital world, capturing the attention of online users has become increasingly challenging. Research has shown that users often make snap judgments within the first few seconds of landing on a webpage.

To help our users optimize their web designs, we are thrilled to announce the release of our latest feature - the 5-Second Test. This powerful tool empowers designers and developers to gather quick and valuable feedback, enabling them to create a seamless and captivating user experience like never before.

Why and how we built 5-second test

The 5-Second Test allows you to understand the immediate impact of your webpage, your new marketing campaign, or you newest packaging design on customers. As the name suggests, participants are exposed to a design for just five seconds. During this short timeframe, they are prompted to absorb as much information as possible. Once the time is up, they are asked specific questions about their experience.

How it works

Under “Create new project” page, select “5-second test” as your research type.

The first step is to upload an image that you want your customers to see 5 seconds of. Notice that the accepted file types are .jpg or .pngs no larger than 5MB.

Then, add questions you may have about the image you just showed, like “What do you remember from the image?” etc.

You could add up to 10 questions. However, we recommend you add no more than 4 questions to ensure the completion rate as well as avoid situations when customers have forgot about the image when the survey goes too long.

Give your research a descriptive theme for better management of your projects within Gojiberry.

Finally, we encourage you to add a small incentive to boost the completion rate, increase loyalty of your customers, and make them feel rewarded afterwards so they would answer more surveys in the future! You may decided how much incentives to give, but if you don’t know where to start, we recommend you estimate how long it takes for a customer to finish the whole survey and give $1 (USD) equivalent of incentive for every minute they spend on it.

Voila! There you have it. You may preview your survey first to make sure it’s good to go. After you’ve created the survey. Don’t forget to turn it on so it shows up in your store.

Check back after a few days to see the question-by-question result you’ve collected.

If you are interested in seeing a breakdown of each customer’s answers, stay tuned as that feature will come soon to Gojiberry.
